I would call Tippmann first. If they have been getting any similar reports, they could probably help you by giving a quick fix scenario. If not, their customer service is second to none and will promptly replace any parts or the whole marker if necessary. They want you on the field playing, not on the phone.

Killdoc. Mine leaked out of the box as well. If you pull the trigger and hold it, the leak will go away. Release it and it leaks threw. So all you have to do is hold the trigger down during the entire game and when your on break... LOL!
No, but really. Tippmann said it isnt a huge issue. They havent seen a large percentage of calls and returns yet. They do think it is the O-ring on the regulator piston. Its the brass piece on Page 22 of you manual. I am waiting for the replacement O-ring from Tippmann to change it out then i will tell you how it worked.

You may want to check the valve plug, there are I belive two clear orings on there. This could be the problem as well. My buddy Scarecrow had this problem. I have been lucky so far (fingers crossed). Hope this helps, if the problem is not fixed as of yet.

Over the weekend I took the replacement parts with o-rings Tippmann sent me and went to work. I replaced everything that I thought that may have been a problem. As always, Tippmann has been very helpful. If I needed a o-ring, they sent me the entire replacement part. Pretty cool.
So after the work was complete, I noticed the Phenom leaking only when on Safety and Semi. Once I flipped it to Electric setting, it stopped leaking. Almost like a silenoid clicked on and stopped the leak. But even that only lasted so long. As play went on, it leaked regardless. Luckily I have a slide check on my remote hose. I was able to cut off air supply with little loss of air pressure.
I may be sending it back to Tippmann for their professional techincal support.
On a side note: The Phenom is SUPER efficient on air. Even with the leak, I was able to make 3000psi last the entire practice. I did notice after right below 1000psi left on the tank, the pressure on the shots drop and eventually they just rolled out of the barrell.

I know the Phenom is new, and with all new g*ns of course comes so quirks you have to work out. But, I heard that this g*n incorporates a lot of speedball parts. Does that mean it also incoroporates a lot of the same speedball problems? Just trying to figure out if once I have enough money, if it would be worth it for me to make the change from the old X7. I'm not good with fixing things, but only at making the problem worse if any of y'all remember my TPX.
